Karrar Hameed Faraj Dabee Altaie

Associate Professor of Economics at the College of Administration and Economics, Wasit University. I hold a Ph.D. in Agricultural Economics from Colorado State University. My research interests focus on agricultural economics, production efficiency, food security, and sustainable development, with particular emphasis on the Iraqi context. My work employs advanced econometric and efficiency analysis techniques, including ARDL, DEA, and SFA models, to examine economic relationships and evaluate productive performance. Through my research, I aim to provide practical and policy-relevant solutions to enhance the efficient use of agricultural resources and improve productivity. In addition to my research activities, I have extensive experience in teaching economics courses and supervising graduate students. I have also contributed to the development of advanced research proposals addressing key economic challenges, particularly in the agricultural sector, in support of sustainable development and food security objectives.
